Africa

Africa

I read about a photographer who aces picture of animals in africa. His picture are dramatic and have good power in them. They show good forms of rules of photography and he adds his own style in it. There was also a contervisoery about him and his ideas of how us humans are treating the environment.

3. Describe it and tell me why its your favorite.

It is two baboons or monkeys that are just sitting in the jungle with their baby. It is my favorite cause I like the background and how calm the monkeys are.

4. What rules of photography are evident in the photos you selected, be sure to explain the rule to me?

The light that is shining down is a diagonal light and is very dramatic. I would say if they baby was the subject then it would be rule of thirds, and the background is simple with jungle scenery.

5. What kind of camera and lens does he use and why is this important?

Instead of telephoto end he uses Pentax 67II with only two fixed lenses. He believes to be close up to the animal.

6. What is his reason for taking these photos?

He likes to see the coal of the animal and can only do it up close.

7. What is his hope by taking these type of photos?

He really is just obsessed with the animals and is fascinated by them.

8. Find something he has to say about Africa, and post the quote on your blog.

''When people in Africa are poor and starving and there are no crops left to eat due to the deforestation and global warming leading to ever-worsening droughts, they cannot be blamed if they kill the last zebra walking through the bush for their family to eat.''
